Welcome to Pre-K !
We are really enjoying ourselves in Pre-K. It promises to be a year full of FUN, DISCOVERY, and LEARNING. Lets enjoy the journey together !
General Academic Goals 
This year the children will:
Learn the letters of the alphabet, sounds the letters make, words that start with each letter, and how to write each letter correctly.
Learn how to spell and write their name.
Learn number recognition as well as writing the numbers.
Learn many wonderful games, songs, and stories.
Rules and Practices
1. Be kind to our friends and teachers.
2. Walk in the classroom.
3. Use indoor voices. 
4. Raise your hand to speak.
5. Share and take turns.
6. HAVE FUN!!!
Learning Showcase 
May is upon us, and it will be a very busy month indeed! Since May is the month for planting, we will be learning about the parts of a plant and what plants need to grow. We will be planting our own seeds, and watch them grow in our classroom. We are excitedly waiting to see our chrysalises turn into beautiful painted lady butterflies! We will be reading stories about some colorful insects, and working on more spring projects.
We will be learning about different kinds of weather, and will be keeping track of the weather each day so that we can graph our results. We will continue playing games on the Smart Table.
We will also be very busy learning and practicing our songs for our Step-Up program in June. It's hard to believe that it's almost here!

May 4 - Two Hour delayed opening starting at 9:45am.
May 9 - Mother's Day Social (10am)
May 11 - Grandparent's Day
May 15 - Pre-K Orientation for incoming students. School starts at 10am.
May 17 - Ascension Thursday (dismissal at 11:30am for Pre-K)
We will be attending the 9am liturgy.
May 18 - Pre-K Parent/Student Lunch
May 22 - Kindergarten Orientation
May 25 - 28 Memorial Day weekend (No School)
